Does anyone have a stem stand? My busa's fork seals are leaking like crazy and need to be replaced asap. Just need to borrow for a few days, please and thank you!!

that'd be great! my right fork seal is leaking like a mofo right now, I still rode it to work but I'd imagine I'm gonna run out of fork oil soon


btw derek, that card trick, I looked it up, probably would work a lot better if my damn forks weren't upsidedowns

Which night are you changing the seal ?
You can use my stand, but I'll need it back by Friday
night becuase going to SMP early Sat morning ..

It should work no problem on inverted forks...I've done it a couple times and I have a friend who's constantly doing it on his Ohlins.

If you have an old backing off one of those cell phone screen protectors, they work amazing.

i tried to do the card trick with the inverted forks but as soon as i stuck a card in a whole bunch of fork oil started flowing out

I'll probably be doing my fork seals next week monday, apparently I need to build a tool to compress the forks

unless somebody has one of those already built already Rolling Eyes

I might be buying the tool ..
Racetech has a really handy tool just for the job and it works
well .. Only other thing you'll need to go with it is a vice to
hold the tool + fork while servicing ..

how does that one work? the pins go into the holes on the sleeve and you have to push down on them?

interesting, so i just need two long threaded rods for that... looks like my spring compressor is going to break $10 soon ha ha
